I just got a congratulations e-mail from my mom. Because even if she wasn't ready to be enthusiastic over the phone, she does know what's appropriate (and I mean that as a compliment). It was a very nice note.
In other surprising news, JD told his parents yesterday night. I am rather shocked. I'm also honestly a bit surprised that they didn't call me. The reaction did not sound any better from his parents, but that's just his father stressing about the change and our lifestyle. I know his mom is excited. And I'm glad JD told them now, before I stay with them in May.
I will call my father over the weekend. And I don't have plans to tell anybody else until 12 weeks.
