What a romantic evening ...

We drove to the beach, took a short walk because we didn't want our car impounded for parking in a public beach lot after sunset, made a delicious dinner (meatballs and asparagus for me, a dairy sandwich for him), and then snuggled onto the couch to watch our newest DVD ... the follistim manual. Which was actually pretty professional and reminded me of those informational videos we used to watch in 8th grade science. In case you're wondering, this is the video where the woman has a pearl necklace on (so professional) and they clearly used a model for the injections. I also watched the videos on http://stirrup-queens.blogspot.com/ (Thanks Mel!).

JD asked me twice if he had to participate, and I told him as long as he takes care of putting away the needle and pen after the injection, I'll be happy. Although I may honestly do the shots before he gets home. I'm hoping it won't bother me at all, and it probably will bother him.

Shots start tomorrow night, next u/s is Saturday and next meeting with the doctor is Monday. I realized that this clinic has never drawn blood mid-cycle - I guess I ought to ask about that next time I see the doctor. Of all things, the follistim manual made me a bit more optimistic. It suggests that these drugs are most likely to succeed in the first 3 months and you get decreasing returns after that. And I can do this for another 3 months - March, May (pre-wedding) and June. And then spend August getting ready for a new clinic.

By the way, down to 132 pounds this morning. The 120s are getting increasingly viable.
