Wow

Well, I was worried about telling my mother about this cycle but I just came clean with my father. Completely. He asked again in a joking manner if I was trying to get knocked up before the wedding, and right out of my mouth came "Well, our last cycle was canceled so it seems less likely" and then we talked all about it. And about the timing for future cycles and whether to talk to my supervisor and the cost. And about when we would schedule IVF and where and whether he would need to help pay. He asked what the cost would be to waiting another 2 years (when I'll be back in the U.S. for good) and I explained that since we want to do this more than once we need to leave a lot of time and he said that was reasonable. He even suggested my taking 6 months off from school to do IF treatments full time. A little awkward talking about JD and his 'contribution' but we didn't linger there. I'm very happy that he knows exactly what is going on, which he never did with my sister's treatments. We talked for a full hour on the phone, which we never do. And he was doing his very best to be as supportive as possible.
